About The Position
The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, SC. The selected candidate will work with the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization to determine Supplier Quality requirements for suppliers. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Supplier Quality Specialist.
Requirements
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- 1+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or supply chain
- 1+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
- Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
Nice To Haves
- Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree of higher
- 1+ year of experience working in MATES or other calibration services
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements
- Quality auditor certification
Responsibilities
- Leads audits and assessments of complex suppliers’ systems, processes and products
- Documents and reports audit and assessment results
- Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
- Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
- Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
- Creates and reviews command media to identify process improvements and continuous improvements
- Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure Quality requirements are flowed to the supplier
