About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Manager to join our PAC-3 Quality team located in Huntsville, AL! This position will support the PAC-3 program & Center of Excellence (COE) and require the ability to collect, organize, analyze and synthesize data; summarize findings; develop recommendations for executive consumption and execute plans. Successful candidates will have the ability to understand the strategic perspective and facilitate cross-functional teams and processes. This is an on-site position that currently supports a 4x10 work schedule on Shift A Monday – Thursday 6:00AM – 4:30PM. Initial training and future support may occur on variable shift. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and may change in the future based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • More than 3 years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing receiving inspections of incoming parts and helps resolve issues related to non-conformances.
  • Manages employees overseeing supplier quality issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' production and quality systems, processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, Supply Chain, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
