The Supplier Quality Engineer will regularly engage with manufacturing plants and distribution facilities to resolve supply disruptions. This role involves utilizing plant quality data to monitor disruptions, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions using the 8D process. The engineer will manage and improve the quality of electrical and mechanical commodities, including molded plastics, engines, hydraulics, castings, and metal fabrication. Responsibilities also include conducting new supplier assessments, performing supplier visits for reviews and capability assessments, training suppliers on Tennant's manual, and providing data-driven recommendations to the supply chain organization. The role requires partnering with Tennant engineering to assist with and influence designs, leading open issues meetings, and evaluating material and process changes within the supply base to mitigate risk.
