Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality experience in an automotive environment.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, supplier launches, audits, and production readiness activities.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, and supplier quality systems.
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier quality activities for new product launches and engineering changes, ensuring successful APQP, PPAP, process validation, and production readiness to meet customer and program requirements.
  • Manage supplier quality performance by conducting audits, monitoring KPIs, reviewing quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards and specifications.
  • Drive problem resolution and corrective actions by leading supplier containment activities, root cause investigations, 8D processes, and verification of long-term corrective action effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to support product development, launch execution, risk mitigation, process changes, and ongoing production quality performance.
  • Develop supplier capabilities and continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, performance reviews, Lean Manufacturing practices, and supplier development programs.
  • Monitor supplier readiness and operational risk by tracking launch milestones, tooling and equipment readiness, production timing, and escalation of issues that may impact quality, delivery, or customer satisfaction.
