About The Position

The Supplier Quality Engineer I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for improving supplier quality for purchased components. This position reports to the Supplier Quality Manager and is part of the Supplier Quality located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute daily supplier management actions to improve supplier performance, disposition nonconforming material and develop plans to prevent recurrence, act as the primary supplier quality representative for root cause and corrective action analysis regarding supplier caused manufacturing issues, and update supplier material control plans and incoming material inspection plans. You will also work with suppliers to determine root cause and develop robust corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field
0-2 years experience
Ability to read and understand specifications on engineering drawings
Investigation skills to determine if components are nonconforming
Technical writing skills to document investigation results
Ability to travel
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements

Nice To Haves

Functional experience in supplier management in an FDA or other regulated industry
Knowledge of GDT
Experience with sampling plans and measurement systems
