About The Position

You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer Senior for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of supplier quality, driving project and program success. As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our suppliers and their products, developing and implementing effective quality control processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive supplier performance.

Requirements

  • STEM degree at Bachelor's level or higher
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time and ability to work a flexible schedule (after hours or weekends when needed)
  • Must be able to identify and document quality deficiencies and ensure effective Corrective Action
  • Capable of performing Root Cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
  • Experience with Quality systems such AS9100 / ISO9001 and First Article Inspections per AS9102
  • Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board)
  • Understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of the MFC SAP / ERP and P2P business systems
  • ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
  • Strong familiarity with Production Operations
  • Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
  • Demonstrated Leadership and Customer Relationship Management skills
  • Individual should be a self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Understanding of Geometric, Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing supplier quality control processes
  • Conducting audits and assessments to ensure supplier compliance
  • Collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Working with internal stakeholders to drive supplier quality initiatives
  • Participate in supplier failure diagnoses, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and drawing/process reviews to ensure design assurance.
  • Act as the technical liaison for quality engineering matters, interfacing daily with suppliers, program management, and customers.
