About The Position

This position plans, organizes, directs, and reports on all supplier quality-related activities, including raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, contract manufacturers, and contract manufacturing laboratories. The role ensures the fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements by translating engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements. The Supplier Quality Analyst assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by suppliers and that a quality system is maintained. The role also conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation. Responsibilities include preparing, maintaining, and reviewing procurement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. The analyst reviews and analyzes corrective action reports and purchase orders to reduce and eliminate defects, and monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, maintaining feedback loops. The role may administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection, and may also audit third-party manufacturers, conduct due diligence, and participate in the vendor selection process. Deviation investigations into quality issues may also be performed. This role requires frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards in Electrical, Machinery, Structural, HVAC Equipment, and Quality Inspection Capacity. The individual will demonstrate the skill and ability to perform fairly complex tasks, participate in determining objectives of assignments, and plan/arrange their own activities to accomplish objectives. The role operates under very general supervision and involves frequent internal company and external supplier manufacturing contacts, representing the organization on specific projects.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED with eleven (11) years of experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience; OR a Masters with one (1) year of experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • A resume' must be attached.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Have experience interfacing with both internal and external customers.
  • Able to read a blueprint.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality Experience in Inspection or Audits Preferred.
  • Any outside Certification in a Shipyard or Marine Discipline are also preferred.
  • Have ability to inspect confined spaces, stooping, crawling, bending, climbing ladders and stairs when required.
