About The Position

The Supplier Performance Manager is responsible for monitoring and improving supplier execution across delivery, quality, and readiness metrics. This role provides supplier surveillance and recovery leadership to ensure material availability and supplier reliability in support of program and production commitments. Acting as the execution arm of Supply Chain and Programs, you will focus on visibility, follow-through, and recovery—driving supplier accountability without owning subcontract strategy, negotiations, or commercial authority.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in supply chain, supplier management, manufacturing operations, or quality execution
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing suppliers preferred
  • Experience supporting AS9100 / ISO-regulated environments
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supplier performance dashboards
  • Experience supporting hardware programs, production environments, or flight hardware supply chains

Responsibilities

  • Monitor supplier on-time delivery (OTD), lead time adherence, and material readiness
  • Track quality performance including NCRs, escapes, corrective actions, and concessions
  • Maintain supplier performance dashboards and scorecards
  • Identify at-risk suppliers early and initiate recovery actions
  • Lead supplier recovery plans for late, quality-impacted, or capacity-constrained suppliers
  • Facilitate weekly supplier cadence meetings and action tracking
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Subcontracts on issue resolution
  • Escalate unresolved supplier risks to Supply Chain leadership and Program Management
  • Support new supplier onboarding in partnership with Supplier Quality (qualification, flowed-down requirements, and readiness to support production)
  • Support supplier readiness reviews (manufacturing readiness, test readiness, first article support)
  • Coordinate source inspections and quality surveillance activities
  • Ensure suppliers are compliant with flowed-down requirements (quality, delivery, documentation)
  • Support ISO / AS9100 audit readiness related to supplier performance controls
  • Support Supply Chain and Operations Manager with tracking PO execution, verifying delivery status, and supporting change execution
  • Provide supplier performance inputs to program reviews, production readiness gates, and risk registers
