Supplier Performance Engineer

About The Position

In this role, you will establish and maintain successful relationships with suppliers, commodity teams, operations, and design engineers. You will communicate Emerson supplier performance expectations to suppliers and support operations in troubleshooting and resolving issues using the Problem Solving process. You will execute processes to quarantine, review, and disposition nonconforming material to ensure it is available for production within 24 hours. You will initially qualify or disqualify suppliers utilizing the AQP process, and develop and maintain quality plans, inspection plans, and material incoming verification methods. You will plan, coordinate, and lead supplier evaluation and approval activities using ESAC and PPAP processes. Additionally, you will actively participate in initiatives to ensure timely and effective supplier quality improvements, attend and participate actively in meetings, and learn and effectively utilize established business systems. You will take responsibility to monitor and improve key performance metrics and ensure clear, complete supplier requirements documentation and conformance to applicable agency requirements. You will follow the AQP Process to deliver guaranteed quality and short lead times for source changes, product transfers, and new product implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
  • Zero (0) years of applicable experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Prior internship experience
