About The Position

This internship focuses on ensuring material quality through incoming inspections and providing guidance to manufacturing sites. The intern will collaborate with design engineers and suppliers on technical specifications, develop quality documentation, and drive process improvements. Building strong supplier relationships is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of related experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure material quality by managing incoming inspections and providing expert guidance to both local and global manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated and consistently met.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, material verification methods, and quality control procedures.
  • Drive process improvements by supporting enhancements to the material review and production part approval processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, commodity teams, operations, and engineering teams to foster alignment and continuous improvement.
