Supplier Performance Engineer
About The Position
As a Supplier Performance Engineer for APX WBS11 Turbine Island, you will support the successful procurement, manufacture, delivery, and turnover of Turbine Island major equipment across APX projects. You will be part of a team leading supplier manufacturing-readiness and capability assessments, providing technical and quality oversight, and driving sustained supplier performance for complex power-generation equipment. You will report to the APX Turbine Island Supplier Quality & Performance Manager and be based in Cranberry Township, PA with a hybrid work arrangement. No relocation assistance is offered. You will be required to travel domestic and international to supplier facilities, approximately 30%, with typical trips lasting two to five days.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- 0+ years of relevant engineering experience, focus on manufacturing preferred
- Strong teamwork, written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally) to support oversight of manufacturing processes at supplier shops
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance and project deliverables.
- Support supplier quality, manufacturing, and delivery activities including inspections and testing.
- Review supplier technical, manufacturing and quality documentation.
- Participate in supplier meetings and site visits to verify compliance with engineering, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
- Help identify and track supplier issues, risks, and corrective actions.
- Work with engineering, quality, and procurement teams to support communication, issue resolution, and project execution.
- Learn and apply manufacturing and quality processes applicable to fabrication of turbine island equipment.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
