About The Position

An exciting opportunity to join our Aerospace Procurement Supplier Management teams as a Supplier Operations Manager to drive improved performance across our external supply chain. Our Supplier Management teams work closely with our external supply chain partners to make sure that we are delivering on our customer commitments, and this role plays a critical part in ensuring that this is done in a sustainable way. This role requires extensive travel - approximately 80% travel. When not travelling, your work location will be Indianapolis office. There will be opportunities for hybrid working.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 8+ years of experience
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 6+ years of experience
  • JD/PhD and 3+ years of experience
  • 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • US Citizen or permanent resident

  • Experienced in operations, planning or supply chain management

  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and integrated supplier performance across quality, cost and delivery would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational performance improvement through the delivery of targeted supplier interventions
  • Crisis management – Managing supplier interventions and immediate customer impact mitigations
  • Risk Mitigation - Coordination and closure of medium to long term risks
  • Continuous Improvement – Driving continuous improvement and lean interventions in suppliers
  • Support the development of new capability in the external supply chain
