About The Position

The Boeing Global Services Government (BGS-G) Supplier Management Team has an opportunity for a Supplier Management Manager (Level K) positions within our organization supporting our Top Tier Contracting team. The selected candidate will be located in Ridley Park, PA. This role involves oversight and coordination of a BGS-G Top Tier team, focusing on terms and conditions, schedule adherence, and relationship building with major supplier partners. It also includes post-award supplier performance management, open order management, and customer alignment for transactional procurement for all BGS-G demands and customers. The manager will develop and motivate employees, provide subcontract support, and ensure supplier delivery performance and support for all program objectives. They will act as an authorized agent of the company, managing all supplier-related activities and committing company resources through contracts and agreements. Coordination with the larger BGS-G Supply Chain team on proposal and execution requirements, and keeping stakeholders informed on supplier status, issues, risks, and opportunities is crucial. The role involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals, and building relationships with stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Continuous improvement processes and oversight of negotiation processes are also expected.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or format manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5+ years of Supplier Relationship Management (Experience managing supplier relationships.)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Experience with Government procurement procedures and requirements (FARs/DFARs)
  • Complex negotiation experience
  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and coordination of a BGS-G Top Tier team.
  • Manage terms and conditions, schedule adherence, and relationship building with major Supplier partners.
  • Post Award Supplier Performance - Oversight and coordination of Supplier Performance Management.
  • Manage open order management and Customer alignment for Transactional procurement for all BGS-G demands and customers.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Provide subcontract support, supplier delivery performance and support for all program objectives.
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinates with the larger BGS-G Supply Chain team (Forecasting, Planning, Order Execution) on proposal requirements, execution requirements and keeping programs and stakeholders informed on supplier status, issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Hold extensive knowledge of Supplier Management processes and procedures.
  • Direct experience working with a variety of subcontract types under DoD prime contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills are required.
  • Occasional travel to other Boeing sites, Customer and suppliers (<10%).
