About The Position

This role involves researching GAAP issues, providing direction on technical accounting matters, and escalating to upper management as needed. The position also includes performing due diligence for mergers/acquisitions and consolidations from an accounting perspective, coordinating information exchange, and monitoring processes. Specific merger-related accounting tasks will be performed to ensure proper accounting for purchase transactions/entities. The role will participate in special projects related to new processes, issues, or structural changes, and may assist in facilitating internal cross-divisional reporting. A key aspect of this role is managing multiple teams with indirect reports.

Requirements

  • Strong, high volume collections background (required)
  • Management/leadership experience (required)
  • In-depth Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable knowledge (required)
  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Reconciliation experience (preferred)
  • Oracle experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Research GAAP issues escalated from staff and provide direction on technical accounting matters.
  • Escalate accounting issues to upper management as necessary.
  • Perform due diligence related to mergers/acquisitions and consolidations from an accounting perspective.
  • Coordinate information exchange, conversion monitoring, and process testing for M&A activities.
  • Perform specific merger-related accounting tasks to ensure purchase transactions/entities are properly accounted for.
  • Participate in special projects related to new processes, issues, or changes in structure.
  • Facilitate Internal Cross-divisional reporting.
  • Manage multiple teams with indirect reports.
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of business or technical support or production teams.
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion.
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
  • Solve problems based on practice and precedent.
  • Train team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations.
