Supplemental Neurohospitalist
About The Position
Legacy Medical Group Neurology is looking for a Supplemental Neurohospitalist to join their team. The neurohospitalist will be based primarily at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR. This position provides consult service for all neurology patients and night call via telemedicine. Legacy Health System is a non-profit organization with five certified stroke centers in and around Portland, OR, and has the largest market share for neurology in the metropolitan area. Their hospitals include a comprehensive stroke center, a thrombectomy-capable stroke center, three primary stroke centers, an extensive neurosurgery program, a neurocritical care unit, a cardiothoracic surgery program, a level I trauma center, and an internal medicine residency program. Teaching opportunities for medical students and residents are available.
Requirements
- Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Neurology.
- Board Certified in Neurology.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
- BLS certification (ACLS may substitute for BLS).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with or interest in telemedicine desirable.
- Exceptional candidates with other sub-specialties may be considered.
