Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Exhibit leadership ability.
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance multiple tasks and projects as necessary.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and basic assessment practices.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology/Educational Leadership is preferred.
  • Experience working with college students in a student-centered learning environment.
  • Knowledge of cognitive development and student development theories.
  • Experience developing and implementing interactive training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program.
  • Supervise peer-led group study sessions for students taking designated high-risk courses.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Coordinator and Graduate Assistants regarding daily program operations.
  • Help the Coordinator prepare and update training materials and participate in training sessions for new leaders and team leaders.
  • Mentor, observe, and evaluate SI staff and peer leaders.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including daily program operations and maintaining/updating SI Blackboard, Microsoft Teams, databases, and shared drive files.
  • Work with the Coordinator to hold and/or attend semester, bi-weekly, and weekly meetings with Retention and enrollment management staff.
  • Develop marketing and advertising strategies to promote SI to students, faculty, and administrators.
  • Analyze and evaluate program success through student and program evaluation survey trends and statistical analysis for year-end reports.
  • Work with the Coordinator to research, develop, and implement technology, strategies, and materials to improve and streamline the program.
