About The Position

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to providing life-changing care. The Supervisor, Recovery provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for assigned recovery services and staff. This role supports the delivery of person-centered, recovery-oriented services aimed at enhancing engagement, stability, independence, and long-term recovery for individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs. The Supervisor is responsible for staff supervision, coaching, and performance management, monitoring service delivery, documentation, productivity, referrals, and client outcomes. They also collaborate with clinical teams and community partners to ensure individuals receive the necessary services and supports to achieve their recovery goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social work, psychology, human services, substance use services, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing behavioral health, substance use, peer, recovery, care coordination, or related community-based services.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a safe driving record when driving is required for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable peer or recovery certification is preferred when consistent with program assignment.
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or program coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising recovery-oriented, peer, substance use, or community-based behavioral health services.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist or other recognized peer/recovery credential.
  • Experience with community outreach, recovery engagement, care coordination, and linkage to social support resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day supervision, consultation, coaching, and support to assigned recovery staff.
  • Oversees daily program operations, including caseload management, referrals, engagement, service delivery, documentation, productivity, and continuity of care.
  • Ensures recovery services are person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and focused on helping individuals achieve meaningful recovery goals and increased independence.
  • Supports staff in connecting individuals to recovery-oriented resources, including peer supports, substance use treatment, housing, employment and education resources, benefits, transportation, healthcare, and other community-based supports.
  • Promotes active engagement and retention in services, including outreach and re-engagement efforts for individuals at risk of disengaging from care.
  • Supports recovery planning that incorporates individual strengths, preferences, natural supports, and identified social drivers of health.
  • Ensures appropriate onboarding, orientation, ongoing training, and development of assigned staff.
  • Reviews documentation, service activity, and other program data to ensure services meet organizational, contractual, funding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors team performance, including Collaborative Service Goals, documentation quality, access, engagement, and applicable program or contract outcomes, and develops improvement plans when needed.
  • Conducts routine quality assurance reviews and works with leadership and Quality staff to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures continuity of care through coordination with therapists, medical providers, case managers, peers, crisis staff, other Centerstone programs, families and natural supports, and community partners as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and recovery resources to strengthen referral pathways and access to services.
  • Participates in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and staff development in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Ensures appropriate coverage when positions are vacant or staff are unavailable and works proactively to minimize disruption to individuals receiving services.
  • Provides direct recovery support or other program services when necessary to maintain continuity of care and meet program needs, consistent with qualifications and scope of practice.
  • Participates in program planning, implementation, and evaluation and communicates program needs, trends, barriers, and performance concerns to management.
