About The Position

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to providing life-changing care. The Supervisor, Recovery provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for assigned recovery services and staff. This role supports the delivery of person-centered, recovery-oriented services aimed at enhancing engagement, stability, independence, and long-term recovery for individuals facing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coaching, and overseeing the performance of recovery staff, monitoring service delivery, documentation, productivity, referrals, and client outcomes. They also collaborate with clinical teams and community partners to ensure individuals receive the necessary services and supports to achieve their recovery goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social work, psychology, human services, substance use services, or a related field required.
Minimum of three years of experience providing behavioral health, substance use, peer, recovery, care coordination, or related community-based services.
Valid Florida driver’s license with a safe driving record when driving is required for the position.
Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods.
Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and person-centered behavioral health services.
Knowledge of mental health, substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and recovery principles.
Ability to develop, coach, and mentor staff.
Ability to establish supportive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Knowledge of community-based recovery resources and social support systems.
Ability to monitor performance metrics, documentation quality, and service outcomes.
Strong problem-solving, organization, and planning skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams, community partners, individuals served, and families.
Commitment to promoting dignity, self-determination, resilience, and recovery.

Nice To Haves

Applicable peer or recovery certification is preferred when consistent with program assignment.
Prior supervisory, lead, or program coordination experience preferred.
Experience supervising recovery-oriented, peer, substance use, or community-based behavioral health services.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions.
Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist or other recognized peer/recovery credential.
Experience with community outreach, recovery engagement, care coordination, and linkage to social support resources.

Responsibilities

Provides day-to-day supervision, consultation, coaching, and support to assigned recovery staff.
Oversees daily program operations, including caseload management, referrals, engagement, service delivery, documentation, productivity, and continuity of care.
Ensures recovery services are person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and focused on helping individuals achieve meaningful recovery goals and increased independence.
Supports staff in connecting individuals to recovery-oriented resources.
Promotes active engagement and retention in services, including outreach and re-engagement efforts.
Supports recovery planning that incorporates individual strengths, preferences, natural supports, and identified social drivers of health.
Ensures appropriate onboarding, orientation, ongoing training, and development of assigned staff.
Reviews documentation, service activity, and other program data to ensure services meet organizational, contractual, funding, and regulatory requirements.
Monitors team performance and develops improvement plans when needed.
Conducts routine quality assurance reviews and works with leadership and Quality staff to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensures continuity of care through coordination with various providers and supports.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and recovery resources.
Participates in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and staff development.
Ensures appropriate coverage when positions are vacant or staff are unavailable.
Provides direct recovery support or other program services when necessary.
Participates in program planning, implementation, and evaluation and communicates program needs, trends, barriers, and performance concerns to management.
