Stichting Greenpeace MENA is seeking two candidates to serve as a supervisory board member voluntarily starting in September 2026. The Supervisory Board is the guarantor of the integrity of the organization and ensures adherence to internationally accepted good governance and financial management standards. The role involves providing oversight expertise and strategic guidance, particularly in legal affairs and regulatory registration. Members are expected to serve for three years with an option for renewal and contribute approximately 15-20 hours per quarter. The board typically meets four times a year, with at least one in-person meeting in Amsterdam annually, and the rest virtually. Candidates must be independent from Greenpeace's internal affairs, have no vested interests conflicting with Greenpeace's objectives, no direct employment with governments, and no material financial interest in industries targeted by Greenpeace campaigns. The organization seeks to enhance gender, age, race, ethnic, and geographical diversity on the board.
