About The Position

The Supervisor is responsible and accountable for directing assigned personnel to help ensure hospital goals are met. The role requires leadership that inspires, motivates, and develops the Environmental Services department into a cohesive group. The position is safety-sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in housekeeping, floor care, janitorial work, or another customer-service-related area.
• Ability to identify and implement cost-saving ideas and programs through independent decision-making.
• Ability to manage workflow and interact positively with coworkers and other hospital staff.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a computer.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to turn, bend, squat, stoop, reach, grasp, lift, push, and maneuver cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 50 pounds or more using proper body mechanics.
• Keen sense of hearing and visual acuity.
• Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Previous lead or supervisor experience organizing workforces to meet budgeting and production goals.
• Healthcare experience.
• A complete understanding of Environmental Services, housekeeping, and recycling, including knowledge of cleaning chemicals and floor finishes.
