About The Position

Abbott Label is hiring a first-shift supervisor for its Arizona warehouse. The role is responsible for ensuring production operates safely and productively, maintaining a clean and organized working environment, and supporting quality throughout production. The supervisor may run a press when needed, coordinate with press operators and other shifts, monitor production throughput, address issues, review timecards, train employees, and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

Past supervisory experience in the narrow web flexographic printing industry.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years old.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Mark Andy multi-color press experience (listed as a must).
Three or more years of experience in the narrow web printing industry.
Mechanical skills.
Punctuality and reliability.
Able to bend and twist.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Able to remain on feet all day.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work overtime as required by production needs.

Responsibilities

Run a press when needed.
Confirm beginning- and end-of-job signoffs are completed accurately.
Speak with press operators before each shift about their expected production.
Troubleshoot machine and press-operator issues.
Monitor and accurately track the shift’s daily production throughput.
Discuss how the shift is operating and identify what is needed to improve it.
Coordinate with off shifts to ensure daily die usage sheets, daily production sheets, and beginning- and end-of-job signoffs are completed properly.
Review Paycor timecards daily.
Conduct and document employee training.
Conduct performance reviews for supervised employees according to company SOP.
Keep operational areas organized and clean during the shift.
Ensure production operates safely and productively, with quality throughout.
