About The Position

The Supervisor supports the Vans store leadership team and helps deliver a high-quality customer experience. Working in partnership with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Supervisor leads by example, coaches and develops associates, and supports operational excellence across customer engagement, merchandising, and store standards. The role contributes to store profitability, an inclusive team culture, and overall store success in a fast-paced retail environment.

This position is part-time or limited-time (such as an internship) and is not eligible for all VF Corporation benefits plans. It is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential; specific eligibility details are provided during recruiting and interviewing. The hiring range is $21.40–$30.00 USD per hour. The minimum starting rate is listed in the posting, and the specific compensation is determined in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
• Skill in coaching, motivating, and building high-performing, diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Solution-oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and meet business expectations.
• Comfort using word processing, spreadsheets, and retail software tools.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting light to moderate weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized customer engagement through genuine interactions.
• Support the store team in achieving and exceeding sales goals by monitoring progress against key performance indicators, while also achieving individual goals.
• Model selling behaviors and foster a consumer-centric mindset through authentic customer interactions.
• Coach and develop associates to deliver high levels of customer engagement and meet productivity goals.
• Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and task delegation.
• Support stockroom operations by organizing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring timely product flow to the sales floor.
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product replenishment aligns with brand directives.
• Support inventory integrity through proper shipping, receiving, and loss prevention practices.
• Promote community engagement by participating in local initiatives and events.
• Uphold company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Foster a positive and inclusive store environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and learning.
