Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial sewing, assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing production employees
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety practices
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems for production planning, inventory tracking, or material management
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel; SmartSheets experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
  • Familiarity with ISO certification standards, quality control processes, or VDA standards
  • Forklift experience or willingness to complete certification/training
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, if needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a diverse production team while ensuring employees have the tools, resources, and direction needed to meet daily goals.
  • Assign work, adjust schedules based on production needs, coach employees, address concerns, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor workflow across departments, support production adjustments when schedules shift, help expedite rush orders or customer priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly.
  • Enforce safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work environment, support Lean and 5S initiatives, track production metrics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall performance.
