This role involves leading and supporting a diverse production team, ensuring employees have the necessary tools, resources, and direction to meet daily goals. The Supervisor will assign work, adjust schedules based on production needs, coach employees, address concerns, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities include monitoring workflow, supporting production adjustments, expediting rush orders, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues. The position requires a balance of people leadership and operational execution in a high-tempo environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This includes enforcing safety guidelines, maintaining a clean work environment, supporting Lean and 5S initiatives, tracking production metrics, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial sewing, assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing production employees
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety practices
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems for production planning, inventory tracking, or material management
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
  • Familiarity with ISO certification standards, quality control processes, or VDA standards
  • Forklift experience or willingness to complete certification/training
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, if needed
  • SmartSheets experience
