About The Position

DLP Services is seeking a full-time Supervisor to oversee janitorial personnel in commercial and industrial establishments. This role involves leading, guiding, and training custodians, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promoting workplace safety and environmental practices. The Supervisor will also perform various janitorial duties, manage supplies, screen applicants, and inspect worksites.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Must be bilingual.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must pass a background check.
Knowledge of custodial practices, machinery, and related equipment.
Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to understand verbal instructions.
Excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

Supervise work activities of janitorial personnel in commercial and industrial establishments.
Lead, guide, and/or train custodians in applicable procedures and techniques.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties including: Dust, Mops Floors, Vacuum Carpets, Cleans Restrooms and restocking paper and soap supplies, Empties trash receptacles, and bags trash for proper disposal when necessary.
Purchase janitorial supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.
Recommend personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.
Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
Inspect potential worksites and create proposals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
