The Supervisor oversees contractor performance on all vegetation management work for a territory consisting of multiple crews in one or more states. This role provides supervision, leadership, and training to others through day-to-day contact, prioritizing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of contractors. The Supervisor directs assigned employees in safe work procedures, work effectiveness, on-the-job training, construction standards, proper care and use of material and equipment, customer service, and company policy and compliance with contracts as well as state and local laws. They are responsible for enforcing and complying with all federal safety policies, practices, and procedures, ensuring contractors understand and apply all safety rules, OSHA and EPA regulations, good work practices, and proper craftsmanship techniques. The Supervisor ensures work is performed on schedule, within competitive cost standards, and in accordance with customer expectations. They control costs by estimating labor, materials, and other costs, and coordinate staff, material, and equipment with other company and contract teams. The role also focuses on improving work processes to enhance safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and competitiveness, and serves as the Company representative to call in contractors during non-scheduled hours for emergency work. Maintaining accurate records and administering project budgets are also key functions. The Supervisor will have General Forepersons reporting directly to them.
