About The Position

Supervisors play a critical role in the success of each event. Supervisors oversee and work along with a team of laborers who install/dismantle pipe/drape, tables, chairs, carpet, displays, signs, and other equipment as requested by the customer for trade shows, expos, festivals, and other special events. Supervisors are responsible for crew safety, meeting strict deadlines, transportation and care of equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service to both customers and vendors.

Requirements

  • Committed to work safety practices
  • Communicates with show organizers, facility managers, and staff in a professional manner, using proper grammar and appropriate language
  • Ability to read and comprehend floorplans, instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Presence of time management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, managers, and other employees of the organization
  • Exhibits teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to write correspondence
  • Displays ethical conduct
  • Proficient in utilizing a phone to respond to company-related texts, calls, and emails as well as utilizing a phone app to accurately clock in/out
  • Ability to utilize and understand current scheduling methods (electronic or printed)
  • The ability to obtain a forklift certification and CDL Class B Certification

  • Will train to read and comprehend floorplans, instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises work crew and prioritizes work assignments
  • Reads, comprehends, and follows floorplans, material lists, and applies necessary timelines
  • Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframes
  • Works with client to ensure show is decorated and set up as planned
  • Ensures that all safety protocols are followed
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including crewmember discipline and documentation
  • Reports timeclock adjustments as needed to payroll administrator
  • May drive loaded vehicle to/from shows
  • Attends staff meetings as required
