About The Position

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Retail & Experience Supervisor to join our team for the 2026 season. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to lead a team, educate guests on wine, and deliver outstanding customer service. As the Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily tasting room operations, guide a dedicated team, and ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience. This is a seasonal position running from mid-April/May to mid-October 2026.

Requirements

  • A passion for wine, hospitality, and providing exceptional guest experiences.
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail supervision or hospitality, ideally in a luxury, tourism, or winery setting.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team development and coaching.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle) and POS systems.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure, especially during peak seasons.
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to engage with guests, staff, and management.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in wine sales, wine education, or tasting room operations is an asset.
  • WSET 2/3, ISG/CAPS, or CMS certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all guests, while leading educational wine tastings.
  • Lead, supervise, and inspire the Tasting Room Associates, ensuring tasks such as opening/closing, scheduling, and meeting sales goals are executed efficiently.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching on wine knowledge, customer engagement, and tasting experiences.
  • Conduct wine tastings and VIP events, sharing the story of Red Rooster’s wines and enhancing guests' knowledge and appreciation.
  • Maximize sales through well-executed tastings and effective merchandising strategies.
  • Assist in inventory management and seasonal décor to maintain a visually appealing retail space.
  • Promote Wine Club memberships, and assist with events, ensuring Wine Club members have an exclusive and memorable experience.
  • Cultivate and share in-depth knowledge of our wines, accessories, and tasting experiences, educating both guests and staff.
  • Oversee the coordination of pre-booked group bookings, ensuring a smooth and well-organized experience for large groups visiting for tastings.
  • Help manage monthly inventory, review cash reports, and ensure the accurate ordering and stocking of wine, accessories, and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
