The Supervisor is responsible for coaching and developing individuals to move steel effectively and safely to serve customers well. This role involves training and coaching facility personnel on SPS policies and procedures, conducting daily huddle meetings and weekly safety meetings, and attending/participating in facility safety and management meetings. The Supervisor must follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times to ensure the safety of themselves and others. They will oversee subordinates to ensure shift goals and quality expectations are consistently achieved, and are responsible for coordinating personnel schedules to ensure operational effectiveness. Maintaining accurate safety, production, tardiness, and attendance records within the appropriate software is crucial. The Supervisor must ensure audit and material traceability procedures are being followed throughout the facility and work in a cooperative, productive, safe, team-oriented manner with employees, truck drivers, management, and outside customers. Additionally, they will review and develop recommendations to facility management to promote continual improvement of all processes.
