About The Position

Our Working Shift Supervisor trains and leads associates to perform a variety of tasks (checking in soiled garments, rolling/hoisting mats, cleaning, towel folding, wash aisle, etc.) that allow for the ability to produce clean products ready for delivery & valued by our customers while meeting production goals. The Working Shift Supervisor is expected to be proficient and able to perform all duties assigned in their designated shift to assist wherever necessary and provide adequate training as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of production leadership experience
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient computer knowledge and aptitude in MS Office products
  • Ability to learn the time management system of the payroll software & learn the Positek sorting system in the plant
  • Excellent project management abilities, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of company practices, procedures, rules, and policies.
  • Ability to lead, guide and motivate others.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Reliability is critical and must be willing and able to work overtime both before and after the start of the shift as necessary.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Must have the ability to learn to operate all production and cleaning equipment.
  • Must have valid driver license, reliable transportation, and a driving record that meets the acceptable standards to be ensured on the policy

Responsibilities

  • Work actively alongside the team to attain the set objectives & complete required daily tasks and set a positive tone for the shift.
  • Operate and maintain everyday devices and systems.
  • Manage & direct all production and cleaning activities on designated shift.
  • Coordinate production activities with the stockroom, route service, and maintenance departments.
  • Assist with the training and development of personnel providing real-time coaching & counseling, as needed.
  • Monitor standards of performance for the purpose of aiding departments in the attainment of their own objectives.
  • Ensure that quality is always maintained and report findings for resource assignment and resolution on all quality issues.
  • Monitor overtime to ensure only necessary and approved time.
  • Complete various production reports and approve overtime, if required.
  • Assist with associate questions, resolve concerns, assist plant manager with performance evaluations, discipline, and assume overall responsibility for maintaining positive associate relations within operations.
  • Uphold the company’s philosophy, and the image of the company in the view of the associates, customers, and public.
  • Maintain and provide status updates to the Plant Manager as it relates to customer information, materials inventory, labor, and processing costs.
  • Coordinate customer shipments and resolve any applicable concerns or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process issues during the shift.
  • Responsible for a clean and safe environment and ensuring all safety rules are followed.
  • Dotted line supervision of other 2nd shift positions outside of the Production team.
