About The Position

Technica is seeking to hire a Supervisor for the SSMO department to support missions at Fort Riley. The Subsistence Supervisor is responsible for the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO) operations under this project. Individual is responsible for the coordination and completion of all tasks and deliverables with respect to the support provided to dining facilities, troop units and other food service customers. This individual sets deadlines, prioritizes tasking, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of the task areas. Ensures compliance with requisite manpower, safety, fiscal and accountability guidance. Assists the Riley Site Lead in administration activities, corporate initiatives (ex. annual training), on-site customer engagement, meeting contract requirements, and overall site performance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent civilian/military service schools graduations or prior supervisory experience (normally 4 plus years) to verify the abilities and competence required to perform in a wide scope of supply related tasks
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Must have computer competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and electronic timesheets (Costpoint/Deltek preferred)
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of systematic established guidelines
  • Must have several years experience in and with military supply and logistics systems at the Brigade or above levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge to operate and perform required duties using US Army LIS and computer automation equipment. Specifically, Installation Support Module (ISM)
  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility
  • Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, sleet and snow for a prolonged period of time.
  • Able to pick up and move items within a 50 lbs. restriction
  • Capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground
  • Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Valid state issued driver license
  • Able to work past normal hours as mission dictates
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license if required.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical direction and direct supervision of all SSMO personnel. This includes performance management, hiring, training, attendance management and employee counseling.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply subsistence management.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge in ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and conducting required inventories of operational rations, supplements, operates the SSMO Receiving Point by ensuring proper handling and security of all inbound/outbound items.
  • Reviews work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
  • Ensures proper functioning of all applicable STAMIS (AFMIS and STORES).
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the installation's supply, services and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
  • Additionally, intricate knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.
  • Must possess operational skills and knowledge of the automated supply and service systems utilized and must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings.
  • Must be able to collaborate with the customer to obtain information, prioritize tasking, and proactively plan for future efforts (ex. anticipated subsistence surges or equipment maintenance schedules).
  • Understands the project requirements per the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and works daily to satisfy those requirements while avoiding scope creep.
