The Nurturing Parenting Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the Nurturing Parenting Program, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services for families involved with the Department of Child Safety. This role supports program compliance, staff development, and service delivery that strengthens family protective factors, promotes child safety, and upholds trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, childhood education), required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the human services field required
  • Experience working with families involved in child welfare, family preservation, visitation, or parenting support services
  • Experience working with multi-problem families and complex family systems
  • Background supporting families with issues related to child abuse and neglect, child development, substance abuse, trauma, or family conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to connect families with community resources and support services
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age

  • As a mandated reporter under Arizona statute A.R.S. § 13-3620, you are required to immediately report any suspected abuse or neglect of a minor to your Supervisor, Manager, Director, Clinical Director, or Chief Officer, who will assist in making the appropriate report to authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to Nurturing Parent Practitioners (NPPs) and Supervised Visitation Specialists (SVS) to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to program standards and NPP philosophy tenets and NPP values
  • Provide coaching, skill development, and constructive feedback to staff using real case scenarios
  • Conduct weekly individual and/or group supervision meetings that promote critical thinking and program fidelity
  • Oversee the delivery of evidence-based parent skill-building services individualized to family needs, culture, and readiness for change
  • Ensure services strengthen family protective factors, enhance caregiver capacities, and support child safety in the home
  • Work cooperatively with the Department of Child Safety (DCS) to develop assessments, service plans, required reports, and attend meetings
  • Oversee the establishment, accuracy, and maintenance of confidential client case records
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all case activity including communication, visitation, skill sessions, missed appointments, and interactions with DCS, placements, and related parties
  • Audit, monitor, and report on contract compliance and program performance
  • Document and submit required reports including progress notes, statistics, daily activity logs, incident reports, and special concerns
  • Monitor and complete monthly billing invoices for Nurturing Parenting and Supervised Visitation services
  • Develop caring, supportive, strength-based, culturally competent, and trauma-informed relationships with clients, staff, and community partners
  • Maintain professional working relationships that positively represent the organization
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and special projects as requested by management
  • Assist with maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of program facilities and equipment
