About The Position

Hartmann Canada Inc, in Brantford, Ontario is a division of Hartmann North America. We are the world leader of moulded fibre egg cartons. The demand for moulded fibre and environmentally sustainable products is rapidly increasing. Hartmann has committed and invested in this area to meet the growing demand of our products. We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor, this position offers meaningful ownership across warehouse execution, automation performance, and logistics coordination, with direct influence on service levels, cost control, and operational reliability.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within warehouse or shipping/receiving operations
  • Comfortable leading in a unionized environment, with strong communication and employee relations skills
  • A hands-on, results-driven leader who takes ownership and drives accountability at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to act quickly and effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Ability to build credibility, influence teams, and deliver results through others

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop hourly warehouse teams with a clear focus on safety, accountability, and results
  • Own daily execution of warehouse operations, ensuring consistent achievement of throughput, service, and quality targets
  • Proactively assess staffing, workflows, and performance gaps, taking decisive action to improve outcomes
  • Build capability across the team through coaching, training, and clear performance expectations
  • Maintain a strong, solutions-oriented presence on the floor, particularly within a unionized environment
  • Own performance and uptime of the AGV fleet, ensuring disciplined preventative maintenance and rapid issue resolution
  • Act as the primary point of accountability with automation vendors, driving responsiveness and long-term reliability
  • Ensure critical spare parts and maintenance processes are in place to minimize downtime
  • Partner cross-functionally to align automation capabilities with production and shipping demands
  • Continuously challenge and improve freight performance, balancing service, reliability, and cost
  • Identify and onboard carriers aligned with operational requirements and customer expectations
  • Drive year-over-year cost improvements through disciplined sourcing and performance management
  • Maintain tight control over paper inventory to support uninterrupted production across operations
  • Adjust inbound supply in line with changing production requirements
  • Support procurement strategies, supplier performance, and material optimization initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely purchasing and invoice reconciliation processes
