Working for Pembina means working safely. The Transmission & Extraction Assets team is seeking a Supervisor, US South within the Alliance District. This role reports to the District Manager, Gas Operations and is responsible for the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the area's people, facilities, and pipeline assets. The Supervisor will provide leadership to Foremen and the operations team, ensuring safe and reliable operations, regulatory compliance, asset integrity, and employee development. This role will collaborate with Area Supervisors and asset leadership to drive the execution of district and corporate initiatives, promoting operational consistency, continuous improvement, and strong business performance. Success requires a visible presence across the operating area, including the office, field locations, and facilities, to effectively support employees, stakeholders, and business objectives. The Transmission & Extraction Operations assets are responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant transportation and extraction of hydrocarbons across Pembina’s integrated pipeline and facilities network. This asset delivers critical connectivity between upstream supply and downstream markets while maintaining a strong focus on asset integrity, operational discipline, and regulatory excellence. The US South Area office is located in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a pipeline operations environment, including demonstrated success leading teams in increasingly responsible operational leadership roles
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline leaders and employees, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, build trust, and effectively manage stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead field operations teams, solve complex operational challenges, and effectively execute business priorities
  • Strong change leadership skills with experience guiding teams through organizational, operational, and cultural change
  • Demonstrated experience managing performance, developing talent, and supporting succession planning initiatives
  • Good working knowledge of regulatory and environmental requirements applicable to pipeline operations
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude with business systems and operational applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and experience championing a strong safety culture
  • Strong working knowledge of gas pipeline and compressor station operations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be legally able to work in the country of the position

Responsibilities

  • Champion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for the area by monitoring management system programs, ensuring completion of regulatory work orders and participating in internal and external audits, developing, implementing and reporting on corrective action plans
  • Lead and participate in Emergency Response activities in accordance with corporate standards
  • Ensure that safety incidents are responded to in a timely fashion and debrief to ensure learnings are recognized and implemented
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, feedback and coaching to Foremen while supporting employee development, succession planning and workforce capability across the area
  • Lead by example in actions and follow up on issues and observations
  • Maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships to ensure operational and product reliability standards
  • Provide local area support to ensure the execution of Damage Prevention activities, including locates, threat response, unauthorized access investigations and hazard inspection
  • Maintain accountability for the safe, reliable, compliant and efficient operation of the US South Area's facilities, pipeline assets and operations team
  • Collaborate with fellow Area Supervisors and district leadership to align priorities, solve operational challenges, share best practices and support the implementation of district and company initiatives
  • Monitor area performance through operational, safety and financial metrics and adjust priorities to support district and business objectives
  • Develop and manage the area's operating budget and provide input into annual capital planning, forecasting and long-range business planning
  • Provide effective leadership and direction for Alliance District operations regarding risk management, ensuring risks to safe, reliable, compliant, efficient, profitable and responsible operations are understood and appropriately managed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including PHMSA, FERC and applicable state requirements
  • Complete projects and assignments safely and efficiently while observing overall best practices, corporate SSER policy and industry safety practices
  • Develop and recommend changes to procedures, processes and equipment to improve efficiency and safety of pipeline systems
