This position provides leadership, coaching, and support to employees under their management while ensuring all essential departmental duties are completed. Position Details: Coordinate work entering the department(s). Maintain quality of the department(s) at an acceptable level. Monitor production in the department(s) and push to achieve the goal. Work with other department supervisors making sure work flow is coming in and going out of the department(s). Responsible for having good working relationship between employees and supervision. Responsible for keeping old schedules and rush items moving through the department. Maintain a clean and orderly department. Responsible for proper upkeep of equipment in the department. Responsible for safety requirements in the department. Audit department to see that repairs or returns are being completed on a timely basis and by the person/persons responsible. Ensure proper training of new employees. Set a good work standard and positive example for employees to follow. Perform duties in a courteous and professional manner. Aid in keeping employees informed of changes and events in the department and in the company. Responsible for holding weekly employee meetings. Maintain attendance records in HRIS system. Work closely with the HR department regarding personnel issues. Assist lead people in the department with their day-to-day duties. Check day work as it is being done and check production sheets at the end of each day Administer and document disciplinary actions for attendance, quality, and matters of personal conduct. Check on supplies and communications with Purchasing Manager when delivery dates should be set. Also, make sure they are received. Report to Manager/Supervisor for feasible changes in materials and methods to improve product cost and quality. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor. Work safely at all times and wear all required personal protective equipment. Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the Manager/Supervisor.
