About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring applicable, consistent, and timely training of all manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and warehouse personnel. The position involves collaborating with Branch Leadership to coordinate and support training initiatives, measuring the effectiveness of training processes and systems, and informing local Trainers of updates to systems or programs/SOPs. The role requires keeping records of all training, performing ongoing training needs assessments, and measuring key performance indicators (KPI) to determine training effectiveness. Additionally, the position involves developing and conducting training workshops, providing general and specialized training, and monitoring onboarding at distribution centers. Management responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of a group of employees, potentially having limited budgetary responsibility, interpreting and executing policies, recommending new policies, providing guidelines for staff functioning, hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and developing staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2 years of experience within a Warehouse
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Positive attitude and an effective communicator.
  • Willingness to engage and develop others.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in SAP & Catalyst.
  • Proficient to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Must be able to operate machinery within location.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of all areas of warehouse and multiple types of machinery preferred.
  • Associate’s degree, and or Leadership / Training experience within a warehouse/production environment (i.e. Warehouse Supervisor, Lead and or Trainer, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure applicable, consistent, and timely training of all manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and warehouse personnel.
  • Collaborate with Branch Leadership to coordinate and support training.
  • Measure the ongoing effectiveness of relevant processes and systems related to the Training function.
  • Inform local Trainers of updates to systems or programs/SOPs as needed.
  • Keep record of all training during visits to help insure consistency in training processes.
  • Perform on-going training needs assessments utilizing a variety of methods to include consultation with management and business performance metrics to identify new training opportunities.
  • Measure key performance indicators (KPI) to determine training effectiveness and provide action plans to management on improvements.
  • Comply with internal reporting processes set forth by Training Manager to track and record progress towards goals.
  • Develop and conduct personal training workshops delivered to branch employees.
  • Provide general knowledge and/or specialized training of resources/system programs and observation/feedback sessions.
  • Monitor onboarding at the distribution center(s) to help prepare staff when additional business or hiring will require training resources.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.
  • Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
  • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.
  • Hire staff, recommend pay increases, perform performance reviews, train and develop staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
