About The Position

This is a trainee position designed to develop skills to oversee department personnel, ensure work requirements are met while minimizing costs, and set department priorities. The role involves assisting in the creation or revision of standard operating procedures and ensuring personnel compliance with company policies, procedures, plant-wide safety, and rules of employee conduct. The trainee will gain experience in interviewing, hiring, disciplining, training, and terminating department personnel, and become proficient in effective communication with internal and external customers. The position requires following up on manufacturing-related issues to completion and addressing concerns tactfully and professionally. The trainee will acquire knowledge of effective employee relations, how to provide coaching and development, and master the process of making employment decisions and resolving employee issues through problem-solving. The role involves understanding how to balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results and striving for continuous improvement. The trainee will become familiar with supervising departmental performance measures, including visual controls, provide regular progress reports to the manager, and develop the ability to set department priorities. The position also involves helping to create and execute MPS objectives, meeting MPS commitments, and working within the guidelines of MPS, while reflecting MITER Brands business values and philosophy in all business interactions. Adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines is crucial to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Read, write, and understand the English language.
