About The Position

Great Lakes Energy is looking for an innovative and driven Supervisor of Technical Services in either our Boyne City or our Newaygo location to lead critical technologies that power our electric distribution system and fiber network. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity at the intersection of energy, data, and connectivity-where your expertise directly supports reliability, resilience, and the future of our grid. For more than 85 years, Great Lakes Energy has delivered reliable electric service to rural communities across 26 counties in western and northern Michigan. As the state's largest member-owned electric utility, we serve more than 128,000 meters with a commitment to innovation, transparency, and exceptional member service. We don't just power homes-we connect communities. Through our communications subsidiary, Truestream, and initiatives like the People Fund, we invest in stronger, more vibrant communities. Our employees bring passion, collaboration, and purpose to everything they do. No two days look exactly the same-and that's exactly what makes this role exciting. You'll lead efforts that keep our systems smart, connected, and reliable. From analyzing AMI and SCADA communication performance to collaborating across teams to solve technical challenges, your work directly impacts system reliability and member satisfaction. You'll guide a technical team, oversee fiber network operations and metering systems, and drive improvements that strengthen our grid.
