About The Position

Responsible for the supervision of daily operation of all technical and facilities aspects of Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) ensuring show quality, safety, and a positive guest experience. Oversight of Technicians specializing in Entertainment Maintenance including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system components, Facilities Maintenance, Scenic Décor & Props, and etc. Serves as key liaison for third party Technicians when Electrical, HVAC, and other specialized repairs need to be made. Adheres to OSHA and Universal safety standards, ensuring safety of both guests and Team Members.

Requirements

Expert knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 working standards.
Must be able to obtain Non-Gaming work card upon employment.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of NFPA, ANSI, and ESTA standards are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.
1-3 years within a supervisory/lead position preferred.
3-5 years’ experience within the professional entertainment or theme park industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Supervises daily Technical and Facilities Maintenance operations.
Oversees Team Members assigned to routine maintenance, emergency repairs, etc.
Trains all new employees assigned to Universal Horror Unleashed.
Assesses employee performance and handles employee relations issues in partnership with Human Resources.
Supports facilities maintenance efforts including routine, preventative/predictive maintenance, emergency repairs, etc.
Ensures adherence to OSHA and Universal safety standards.
Serves as key liaison for third-party vendors such as Electrical, HVAC, restaurant equipment maintenance, and other specialized facilities maintenance.
Oversees third-party work completion and processes work orders.
Completes regular inspection of property to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Responsible for the technical planning, execution and quality assurance of all technical and facilities maintenance operations, machinery and equipment, ensuring safe operation.
Supervises daily oversight of all scenic, signage, set decorating, and props maintenance.
Partners with Entertainment for special events.
Effectively communicates necessary information which pertains to the technical operation of Universal Horror Unleashed to necessary parties in partnering divisions.
Supports TSAT and GSAT initiatives and actions plans and safety standard initiatives.
Ensures state requirements are met.
Responsible for daily staffing levels of technicians for both operational and non-operational hours.
Schedules third party technicians for necessary repairs/preventative maintenance.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
