Department OverviewThe Senior Tax Analyst – U.S. Income Tax Plays a key role in the execution and oversight of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and provision processes, including coordination with co‑sourcing providers, review of complex filings, and audit support.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to technological change and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with or interest in emerging tax technologies and process automation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; master’s in taxation or accounting and CPA preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in U.S. Federal & State Income tax, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Experience with OneSource Income Tax or similar tax compliance software.
  • Familiarity with OneSource Income Tax Provision (OTP) is a plus, including exposure to provision calculations, deferred tax analysis, and integration with compliance processes.
  • Strong proficiency with data transformation and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) is expected. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to leverage technology to streamline tax processes, support modeling activities, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with co‑sourcing providers to prepare, review, and finalize U.S. federal and state income tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency with provision positions.
  • Assist in the preparation of U.S. Federal & State Income tax calculations for quarterly and annual tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology adoption. The candidate should bring a mindset of innovation and adaptability to support the evolving needs of the tax function.
  • Monitor and analyze U.S. and state income tax legislative changes, tax audits, and business initiatives to assess potential tax impacts.
  • Assist with estimated tax payments, extensions, and related filings.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain audit‑ready workpapers and technical documentation to support tax positions and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal tax policies, including record retention, documentation standards, and completion timelines.
  • Provide technical support to the Tax Accounting team and collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax-related matters.
  • Support IRS and state income tax audits, including audit responses, issue tracking, and coordination with external advisors.
  • Prepare other tax reporting – withholding tax, sales & use tax, and gross receipts tax.
