Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5+ years of Tax experience
  • Friendly and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates.
  • Work independently as well as within a team.
  • Have recurring direct client contact.
  • Engage in critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Work rapidly, accurately, and under pressure during tax season to meet tight deadlines.
  • Take on increased complexity level of projects, demonstrating ability to take a messy trial balance and provide AJEs to correct it.
  • Prepare complete and accurate returns.
  • Review others’ returns.
  • Prepare documentation to support tax return calculations.
  • Mentor a team of Associates and Seniors.
  • Review data input, identifying, and resolving technical issues.
  • Work closely with managers and partners and keep team informed on status.
  • Increase client communication while working on their tax return, and potentially throughout multiple years.
  • Understand federal, state, and local tax codes.
  • Apply knowledge to real-life situations, with encouragement for thinking outside of the box.
  • Share ideas and opinions with the team.
  • Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis and apply what is learned to assigned tasks.
