About The Position

While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, the Supervisor Sterile Processing coordinates, directs, and provides services within the Sterile Processing Department. The position independently makes decisions related to those services in accordance with established standards and collaborates with physicians and other health team members to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Completion of one of the following: current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; current certification as a Surgical Technologist; or current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• Meet one of the following: active certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician; attain certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician within 18 months of hire; or have been employed by a health care facility as a Sterile Processing Technician or Central Services Technician before December 28, 2020.
• Five years of operating room or sterile processing experience.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes and surgical procedure requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in a related healthcare field.
