About The Position

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Supervisor, Sterile Processing provides supervision and problem-solving support to staff and manages day-to-day Sterile Processing processes, supplies, and quality improvement projects to ensure high-quality services. The supervisor oversees regular, on-call, and float staff; works with the Clinical Manager and PSPH Purchasing to negotiate and manage supply resources; and coordinates with Information Services on information systems needed for Sterile Processing. The role evaluates and assures new technology and includes active clinical work as well as process management. Requirements

Completion of an accredited Central Supply Technician or surgical technology course.
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
Upon hire, hold either National Certified Healthcare Leader certification or National Certified Instrument Specialist certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
Five years of Sterile Processing experience in an acute hospital setting.
Two years of lead experience.

Responsibilities
