About The Position

Seeking a Staffing Supervisor to join our team! Supervises and coordinates the operations of Patient Placement, Staffing and Traveler Coordination. Provides support to the Director of Nursing and in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health. Perform non-clinical and administrative tasks for Nursing Staffing Office personnel (NSO) and float pool. Serves as a liaison between NSO, other department leadership, the Transfer Center as well as between Patient Placement, Revenue Integrity, and Care Coordination. Research and correct inaccurate patient placement orders. Supervises assigned personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training, and effective communication. Assesses and makes recommendations regarding daily operations and hospital throughput. Supervises programs, tools, and resources used by the department as well as performs audits and data tracking for various projects.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree upon hire and Three (3) years of experience in related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education upon hire and experience required
  • Supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace and Cerner or EMR System, T.E.A.M. or similar staffing programs preferred

  • Knowledge of the principles and methodology of budget management and ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
  • Knowledge of office administration activities; ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of local and remote teams.
