Requirements

  • Associates Degree upon hire
  • Three (3) years of experience in related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education upon hire and experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience Preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace and Cerner or EMR System, T.E.A.M. or similar staffing programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates the operations of Patient Placement, Staffing and Traveler Coordination.
  • Provides support to the Director of Nursing and in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
  • Perform non-clinical and administrative tasks for Nursing Staffing Office personnel (NSO) and float pool.
  • Serves as a liaison between NSO, other department leadership, the Transfer Center as well as between Patient Placement, Revenue Integrity, and Care Coordination.
  • Research and correct inaccurate patient placement orders.
  • Supervises assigned personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training, and effective communication.
  • Assesses and makes recommendations regarding daily operations and hospital throughput.
  • Supervises programs, tools, and resources used by the department as well as performs audits and data tracking for various projects.
  • Scheduling Work and Activities: Knowledge of the schedule creation process; ability to develop and maintain a workable schedule to accomplish the overall goals of day-to-day operations.
  • Budget Management: Knowledge of the principles and methodology of budget management and ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
  • Office Administration: Knowledge of office administration activities; ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of local and remote teams.
