About The Position

Join our team at Alton Memorial Hospital as a Supervisor of Social Work to make a direct impact on patient care and operations. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a day shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Alton Memorial Hospital has been serving the community since 1937 and is a full-service acute care hospital offering a variety of inpatient and outpatient services. The Case Management, Utilization Review, and Social Services department provides admission and continued stay reviews for compliance and resource utilization, and offers social service resources to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - IL
• 2-5 years experience

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
• Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Assists with operations of unit services and integration with other departments.
• Hires, manages, and evaluates staff and services to build an effective work unit.
• Coordinates the administration of comprehensive social work.
• Understands and participates in the operational processes of the patient care area and as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver the safest and most efficient/effective patient care to patients.
• Evaluates patient care and programming through part-time direct supervision and chart reviews.
