About The Position

The SMP Supervisor will provide support to the Site Manager through provision of field supervision, planning, quality management, coordination and construction management. The successful candidate will direct and control the work of the contractors to ensure contract and project objectives are achieved or exceeded. You will be required to inspect the work under each contract daily and advise the contractor of any corrective actions needed as they occur. You must ensure site entry requirements for plant, equipment and people and complied with and you must identify and obtain approvals for additional work outside the original contract/project scope of work prior to implementation. Other tasks will include, maintaining documentation relating to work within the contract, assisting with maintaining detailed records of contractor's progress against the schedule, ensure that all equality requirements are adhered to and report daily on progress, material deliveries, number and type of contractor's personnel and equipment, design errors and shortages encountered, and difficulties experienced.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a SMP supervisor/superintendent/inspector.
  • 5 years' experience in a similar supervisory/ superintendents'/inspector role preferably within the Mining or Oil & Gas industry.
  • High Risk Work Licence - Rigger Advanced, Scaffold Advanced and Crane.
  • Previous experience in construction.
  • Provide a national police clearance that is not older than 6 months.
  • Hold a WA White Card.
  • Current unrestricted working rights for Australia.
