About The Position

The Supervisor of Shipping (Finished Goods) is responsible for overseeing the daily shipping, staging, loading, and finished goods flow operations within the Jonathan Louis Mississippi manufacturing facility. This position ensures customer orders are shipped accurately, safely, and on schedule while maintaining inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, and operational organization. The Supervisor of Shipping partners closely with Production, Inventory Management, Scheduling, Logistics, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to support on-time delivery performance and overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or related operational environments preferred
  • Experience with finished goods shipping, inventory control, trailer loading, and warehouse operations preferred
  • Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and employee coaching skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing and shipping environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to read and understand shipping schedules, inventory reports, and operational documentation
  • Experience with scanning systems, warehouse systems, ERP systems, or shipping software preferred
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, inventory accuracy, and customer service
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout warehouse and shipping areas for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, and move finished goods and materials throughout the workday as needed
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and shipping activity
  • Ability to occasionally lift materials or products within company-established limits

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily finished goods shipping operations to ensure customer orders are loaded and shipped on time
  • Coordinate shipping schedules, trailer loading priorities, and finished goods staging activities
  • Supervise shipping employees, loaders and forklift operators
  • Monitor department productivity, staffing levels, and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure all shipments are accurate, properly documented, and meet Jonathan Louis’ quality and customer standards
  • Coordinate with Scheduling, Production, Inventory Management, and Logistics teams regarding shipment timing, order priorities, and inventory availability
  • Monitor finished goods inventory accuracy and support inventory control processes
  • Ensure proper scanning, tracking, and system transactions for finished goods movement and shipment confirmation
  • Train, coach, and develop shipping employees on safety, loading standards, scanning procedures, and workflow expectations
  • Monitor employee attendance, staffing coverage, and department scheduling needs
  • Maintain accurate shipping reports, timecards, and department documentation
  • Assist with resolving shipping discrepancies, trailer issues, inventory concerns, and operational bottlenecks
  • Ensure trailers are loaded safely, efficiently, and according to load quality expectations
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement
  • Support implementation of process improvements and operational efficiencies within the shipping department
  • Coordinate with Maintenance regarding dock equipment, forklifts, scanners, or shipping equipment issues
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and staging areas
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, shipping procedures, and operational standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business and operational needs
