About The Position

The Part-Time Security Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing security operations with an emphasis on event-day staffing, service to ASM Global employees, and maintaining a safe and secure environment across ASM Global-managed facilities. This role supports the development and implementation of operational security policies and procedures, and serves as the on-site supervisory lead during the move-in/move-out of trade shows, conventions, and events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of security experience, preferably in a similar venue or event environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and hold a security team accountable during high-pressure events.
  • Excellent organizational and situational awareness skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate conflict professionally.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Working knowledge of security systems and basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a team of security staff during assigned shifts, ensuring proper post coverage and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign posts, and monitor staff performance throughout the event.
  • Secure property, oversee locking and unlocking of facility doors, and ensure routine property walks are completed by the team.
  • Respond to and manage emergency situations, serving as the on-site lead for incident response and escalation.
  • Ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises and provide guidance to staff on handling escalated or unruly situations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local Fire and Police Departments to coordinate off-duty details and emergency response.
  • Complete post-incident reports and communicate operational updates to Security Management.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies and procedures across the team.
  • Work independently to assess situations and make sound, immediate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
