About The Position

This role involves supervising the Revenue Accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all revenues and associated gaming taxes. The position requires hands-on leadership, delegation of responsibilities, and participation in staff development and evaluation. Maintaining confidentiality and a positive guest experience are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Experience in revenue accounting.
  • Ability to prepare and post revenue journal entries.
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of gaming tax reporting.
  • Experience in preparing gaming tax returns.
  • Ability to maintain tracking records for revenue.
  • Experience in preparing for and participating in audits.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating staff.
  • Ability to recommend and administer disciplinary action.
  • Strong communication skills for Revenue Accounting issues.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver reports.
  • Knowledge of casino events and promotional activities.
  • Understanding of safety and security procedures for guests and team members.
  • Compliance with casino and department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to Revenue Accounting department.
  • Prepare and post revenue journal entries for all revenues and comp and coupon expenses.
  • Assist with reconciliation of general ledger.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct reporting of all revenue and associated gaming taxes.
  • Prepare weekly gaming tax returns.
  • Maintain tracking records for all revenue.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating department staff.
  • Recommend and administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Timely communicate all Revenue Accounting issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member and guest information.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as needed.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Casino and department management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.
